Nevexin for the Removal of Mole
What is a Mole?
A mole (nevi), technically known as a melanocytic naevus, is a small, dark spot
on the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). According to the American Academy
of Dermatology, the majority of moles appear during the first two decades of
a persons life, although some may not appear until later in life. Perceived by
most people as a dark brown spot, moles can also be yellow or blue and can be
of various sizes and shapes. Moles can be flat, raised, elevated and dermal,
appearing anywhere on the skin but especially on the arm, head and neck. Sun
exposure may darken existing moles and increase their number.
Moles are a member of the family of skin lesions known as naevi. Moles occur when cells in the skin grow in a cluster instead of being spread throughout the skin. These cells are called melanocytic, and they make the pigment that gives skin its natural color. |
